Ich bin da!

So I'm officially here in Deutschland! Exciting stuff! The plane ride was uneventful which is always good and I made it safely there! I did lose one piece of luggage and I just got it today which means it was 4 days without it. Interesting but not too bad. Now I'm all here and everything is wonderful! I'm sure you can tell but every day my English gets worse as my German gets better....oops! But I'll take what I can get! I need to be able to communicate while I'm here so that sounds good to me! The land is beautiful and completely green, even in the dead of winter as it is! I did ride on the autobahn as one of my first experiences, which was scary but now, everthing is good. I'm not so scared. The driving is always fast here! The family is wonderful! The girls are amaying and hilarious and the parents are way nice and treat me like family. The German is slow in coming so I can't always communicate with the girls like I'd like but I've only been here for 4 days and I can tell it's already getting better! But believe you me, as my German gets better, my English will continue to get worse! But then again, I never could spell...ok, picture time.

The pictures with water are of the North sea. We went on Sunday and it was just a gorgeous day! Sunny and not too much wind. Perfect! Majlie can ride a unicycle...awesome...

There are windmills everywhere.
These are of my room. It's small but I like it. It's perfect for this situation. It's the biggest room I've had but all of my stuff has to stay in there.....oh well!

These are of Mimi's party. We went and danced and had a whole bunch of fun. That was my first day. It was a dress up party so they all got to dress up in costumes and dance. She went as Schneewittchen (Snow White). It was a lot of fun!

These are of a landmark in the German country side. Pretty neat. In it's history, it was used for wedding ceremonies so the girls acted it out. It was very cute. We had a lot of fun! Then Dirk and I proceeded to run to the car and drive away and the girls ran and giggled as the ran to the car. We had a good time. (We did stop and let them in by the way....)

Just GORGEOUS countryside. It's beautiful. And my camera is awesome and takes amazing pictures. I love it! And this is a German farm house. A little different from American ones....

Oh my gosh Lani you are in Germany!!! I love the pics. I feel like I know where you are now & I can picture you in the house & with the family. You are right, it is beautiful countryside. The North Sea looks just beautiful. I am surprised they have carpet in the house. I had thought most of Europe does not have carpeted floors. The house is beautiful & yes, very German & with a very nice yard. Thank you for putting pictures up!!!! I can totally see & am at peace now with where you are. Man, I sure do miss you though!!! I love you!!!!
